The photographs depict War Graves Commission cemeteries in Sicily and Italy and military members and students on the pilgrimage.

Highlights include the visit of Lord Byng, 1922, the 8 May 1932 Trooping, the visit of King George and Queen Elizabeth, 1939, training in Canada and the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry in England, Italy, France and Holland during the Second World War. Also included are 98 photographs and 19 negatives of Edward Higham's service with the Second Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry in Korea, 1950-1951 and various documents relating to service in Korea and with the Reserves. Included is a scrapbook possibly collected by Craftsman Higham's parents in Manitoba, documenting activities of 2PPCLI in Korea.
