The fonds contains correspondence, newsclippings, journal entries, pamphlets, booklets, video footage, travel ephemera and travel maps related to the Canadian Veterans Affairs Pilgrimage to Sicily and Italy in 1999. Also included are small maps of key battles fought by the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry in Sicily and Italy in World War Two and photocopies from the scrapbook of Donald Munro 1943-1945 depicting the activities of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry during the War. The photographs depict War Graves Commission cemeteries in Sicily and Italy and military members and students on the pilgrimage.

Military hospitals autograph collection

An autograph book was used to collect signatures, greetings, verses, sketches, and drawings of soldiers recuperating in military hospitals in southeastern England, 1917-1918. The hospitals referenced are No. 16 Canadian General Hospital (formerly Ontario Military Hospital), No. 7 Canadian General Hospital, and Princess Patricia’s Canadian Red Cross Hospital. The owner of the book may have been a nursing sister, a volunteer, or a patient, or its ownership may have passed among several individuals. The name “Pete Binquist” is inscribed on the inside front cover. “Sister Devitt” is referenced on page 43. Signatures include PPCLI members Leslie S. MacDonald, D.W. Fraser, and F. Weaver.
