The Regiment performed guard duty in England, and saw action in Sicily, Italy, and Holland. The collection Includes action shots, souvenir postcards, and group portraits created and collected by members of the Regiment.
The fonds consists of correspondence, speeches, etc., arranged in chronological order, documenting George Grenville Brown's military career. Includes Shaun G. Brown’s B.A. thesis on the Italian campaign of World War II. Includes an album (at C30-3.2) documenting G.G. Brown’s 1972 visit to Fort Benning, Georgia.
CWO Richardson kept extensive news clippings for the time of his service in Korea and through the 1950s, as well as numerous well-labeled photographs from this period. He also kept key service files that provide an outline of his career progression including courses taken and qualifications earned, as well as dates of service. The series includes stories and articles on other soldiers, including Jack LaChance and Bob Coulter. Items of note include telegraphs notifying his mother of his being wounded, newsclippings on the DCM award, and original letters from his time in hospital.
