Edwin Chester Hicks fonds

The fonds consists of an album of photographs and a few souvenirs documenting the military career of Edwin Chester Hicks. Included are pictures of PPCLI training on Vancouver Island, in garrisons in Scotland and southern England, and in the field in Italy. Some photos are annotated with the names of Hick's friends. Includes samples of military currency used in Italy.

The collection consists of custom-bound volumes apparently intended for browsing by visitors to the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry Regimental Museum during its early years (ca. 1953-1966). They consist predominantly of textual records, including newsclippings, correspondence, programs, tickets, songbooks, photographs, scripts for comedy sketches, and Mess standing orders.

PPCLI menus and programmes collection

The collection consists of a scrapbook containing 67 menus, invitations, and programmes of events such as mess dinners, shipboard dining, charitable variety shows, Association reunion banquets, and Trooping ceremonies. Materials are dated 1915-1964. Many of the menus were autographed by those present. Also includes a few Christmas cards of the Regiment and regimental personalities.

Conrad Stephens fonds

The fonds consists of Conrad Stephens' memorabilia from the Dumbells, the musical and comedy troupe formed by the 3rd Canadian Division during the First World War which amalgamated with the PPCLI Comedy Company. After the War the troupe continued to tour Canada and the United States until 1929. Consists predominantly of publicity photos and portraits of the performers, many of them autographed. Includes a portrait of Stephens in his wartime uniform, a portrait of him as a veteran in the 1950s, and newsclippings about a reunion concert of the PPCLI Comedy Company mounted in 1955.

The album largely consists of publicity photographs (many autographed) and programs documenting the activities of the PPCLI Comedy Company and its successor, the Dumbells. Includes a nominal roll (compiled 1968) of all members of the Comedy Company from its formation on 1916 May 16 to its amalgamation with the Dumbells on 1918 Nov 12. Includes materials created 1916-1968. The fonds consists predominantly of two scrapbooks, containing portraits, snapshots, newsclippings, letters, speeches, and souvenirs documenting George S. Currie's military, professional, business, civic, and civil service careers, and his family and social life. Also included is a copy of the McGill Daily (3 November 1916) containing news of the achievements and casualties of McGill men serving overseas; the certificate of his investiture in the Order of St. Michael and St. George, a caricature of "Little George", samples of safe conduct passes issued by the Allied forces ca. 1945. Items in Collection 1, file 31(15)-3 include his commission, correspondence, invitations and dance cards. Items in Collection 1, files 31(21)-15 include correspondence, speeches , diary (1941), officer's record of service book.
