Conrad Stephens fonds

The fonds consists of Conrad Stephens' memorabilia from the Dumbells, the musical and comedy troupe formed by the 3rd Canadian Division during the First World War which amalgamated with the PPCLI Comedy Company. After the War the troupe continued to tour Canada and the United States until 1929. Consists predominantly of publicity photos and portraits of the performers, many of them autographed. Includes a portrait of Stephens in his wartime uniform, a portrait of him as a veteran in the 1950s, and newsclippings about a reunion concert of the PPCLI Comedy Company mounted in 1955.

This collection consists of photographs of Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI) activities from its reorganization as a permanent peacetime battalion in March 1919 until its departure for Europe on December 17, 1939.

The fonds contains 5 booklets of poetry and autobiographical prose written by James S. Mullan about his early adulthood and his service in the military. The photographs depict members of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry Association, Saskatchewan Branch in Regina and at the 75th and 80th Anniversary celebrations in Calgary, Alberta, 1989 and 1994. Included is an informal portrait taken during World War II.

The fonds consists of an album of photographs and a few souvenirs documenting the military career of Edwin Chester Hicks. Included are pictures of PPCLI training on Vancouver Island, in garrisons in Scotland and southern England, and in the field in Italy. Some photos are annotated with the names of Hick's friends. Includes samples of military currency used in Italy.
