The John Henry Richardson fonds covers two distinct periods, his military service and his activities with veterans’ tributes and Korea pilgrimages after his service. He kept extensive news clippings for the time of his service in Korea and through the 1950s, as well as numerous well-labeled photographs from this period. He also kept key service files that provide an outline of his career progression including courses taken and qualifications earned, as well as dates of service. CWO Richardson collected a number of records from Korean pilgrimages in the 1980s and 1990s and veterans’ reunions. He also kept articles and scrapbooks/copied stories concerning his military peers. The fonds also includes a scrapbook/diary possibly kept by a family member documenting the early years of the Second World War.
