The fonds consists predominantly of two scrapbooks, containing portraits, snapshots, newsclippings, letters, speeches, and souvenirs documenting George S. Currie's military, professional, business, civic, and civil service careers, and his family and social life. Also included is a copy of the McGill Daily (3 November 1916) containing news of the achievements and casualties of McGill men serving overseas; the certificate of his investiture in the Order of St. Michael and St. George, a caricature of "Little George", samples of safe conduct passes issued by the Allied forces ca. 1945. Items in Collection 1, file 31(15)-3 include his commission, correspondence, invitations and dance cards. Items in Collection 1, files 31(21)-15 include correspondence, speeches , diary (1941), officer's record of service book.

The collection is classified into 38 series representing broad subjects, periods of regimental history, and units within the regiment. Many of the series are further divided into sub-series. Files are generally described to the item level. Many of the files contain material both "about" and "created by" the subject. The collection consists of correspondence, nominal rolls, ledgers, scrapbooks, war diaries, Part I and Part II Orders, maps, blueprints, annual reports, meeting minutes, newsletters, magazines, newspapers, clippings, programmes, posters, postcards, souvenirs, and personnel documents documenting regimental activities and achievements during war and peace times, and the service of individual members of the Regiment. Also included is biographical information on the Colonels-in-Chief, Colonels of the Regiment and other Regimental personalities. Some series include pamphlets and other ephemera related to military history, regimental traditions, the Regimental Colours, training policies and procedures, uniforms and equipment, allied regiments, the airborne role, the Regimental Band, mascots, and sports. Also featured are records of the Regimental Executive Committee, the 75th anniversary celebrations of the Regiment, the PPCLI Cadets, and the biennial Exercise Ric-A-Dam-Doo conference. Significant personal papers and collections of regimental leaders and personalities include those of Princess Patricia (Lady Patricia Ramsay), Lady Patricia Brabourne (Countess Mountbatten of Burma), Hamilton Gault, Cameron Ware, G.G. Brown, and W.B.S. Sutherland. Individual collections contained within the collection include those of W.E. Bastedo (who corresponded with many Great War veterans in the 1960s), BAJ Franklin, K.F. Bunyan, E.K. Fitzgerald, Hub Gray, Eleanor M. Rieger, John Milburn, Leslie A. White, and Stephen Trache. Significant personal papers within the collection include those of Agar Adamson, Leslie W. Basham, K.C. Burness, George S. Currie, James A. de Lalanne, Walter Draycot, Dorothy Gault, Victor F. Gianelli, Stanley Jones, F.J. Kendall, N.J. McFarlane, Hugh M. The fonds consists of one album which has virtually no inscriptions or captions but contains items known to be created or collected by Howard Ferguson. Includes a photograph, presumably of Ferguson in his senior years. Includes a group portrait of the P.P.C.L.I. Concert Party (W. James Cunningham, Jack Maclaren, Norman D. Clarke, T.J. Lilly, Fred Fenwick). Includes a card featuring a painting by Ferguson's friend Tom Pritchard. Includes many photos of formal and social events of the PPCLI Association in Ottawa, including visits of Lady Patricia Ramsay and Dorothy Gault, and parades on Parliament Hill and at the National Cenotaph. The fonds consists largely of self-produced booklets of reminiscences and photographs detailing the military service of Murray C. Edwards. Included are descriptions of his childhood in New Jersey and Vermont; enlistment and officer selection during the Second World War; the Battle of KapYong, Korea, 1951; returning from Korea 1951; trans-Atlantic ship travel; courts-martial in Germany, 1954-1955; peacekeeping in Cyprus, 1964; and peacekeeping in Israel and Syria, 1967-1968. Includes correspondence with friends Hub Gray and Tom Rockburne, and a proposed address to the Senate of Canada regarding a proposed National Korean Veterans' Day; correspondence regarding official recognition of the heroism of Lt. Mike Levy at the Battle of KapYong (2016). Includes photographs from the Korean War.

The fonds contains correspondence, newsclippings, certificates, diaries 1946, 1954-1980 and photographic material covering the military career of Cameron Bethel Ware 1931-1966, his term as Colonel of the Regiment of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI) 1959-1977 and his retirement activities in Victoria, British Columbia 1977-1996. Correspondence with prominent members of the regimental family, including Lady Patricia Ramsay, Hamilton Gault, Dorothy Gault and Jeffery Williams, covers a wide range of regimental matters including various anniversaries and events, the appointment of the next Colonel-In-Chief and the Regimental History Book Volume III. Also included are post World War Two reminiscences of regimental officers and discourse on the future of the Canadian Army. Newsclippings were originally collected by Ware's father Lieutenant Colonel F. B. Ware during the Second World War and include his comments. A photograph album covers Ware's term as Commandant of Royal Roads 1952-1954. The remaining photographic material is predominantly post World War Two and highlights Ware's various staff appointments and activities as a general officer, his term as Colonel of the Regiment and his visits to various air force bases and the Far East in the 1950s-1960s. Includes documentation of his funeral, retained by PPCLI Regimental headquarters. Includes a small collection of books, some of them inscribed as gifts from friends or for formal occasions.
