Biographical history

B74218 J. E. Pitre joined the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry 28 September 1943 and fought with C Company in Italy. Promoted to Sergeant he was injured 24 May 1944 but remained with the Regiment until 25 September 1945. He died in Edmonton in 2005.

The fonds contains a typesript, "Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry : an outline of regimental history, 10 Jul 43 - 8 May 45" (10 p.); Ric-A-Dam-Doo songshee; and Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry Service Club of Toronto membership card and program for 1946 annual banquet with signatures of members.
