SH206083 James G. "Jim" Hayward completed his basic training with the Flers-Courcelette Platoon at Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI) Depot in March 1956. He was taken on strength by the 2nd Battalion of PPCLI. He retired from the Canadian Armed Forces in April 1980 as a Warrant Officer stationed with the Regular Support Staff in Regina, Saskatchewan. With his wife Mona, he became active in the Saskatchewan Branch of the PPCLI Association. In 2017 he was still living in Regina.

The album consists mainly of color snapshots of social events and conferences of the Saskatchewan Branch of the PPCLI Association. Also includes conferences that took place in Alberta and British Columbia. Includes a group portrait of Passchendaele Platoon, PPCLI Depot, April 1955. Includes a postal first day cover issued to commemorate the 75th anniversary of PPCLI in 1989. Includes two cards of thanks to Jim and Mona Hayward for their participation in funerals of comrades.
The album is believed to have been donated by Jim and Mona Hayward between 2006 and 2013.
