This manuscript covers the period of Stanley Jones' enlistment with PPCLI in 1914 until his capture and subsequent death in 1916. The manuscript is a collection of letters exchanged between Stanley Jones and his wife Lucille Jones. The letters discuss regimental operations and various individuals in the Regiment.
Originally drafted as letters between Stanley and Lucille Jones, the letters were held by Lucille Jones after Stanley's death in 1916. Lucille drafted the manuscript around 1935, and it passed to Clifford Jones, Stanley's brother. From there it went to Clifford's wife, and then from her estate to her son Jim Cannon. Mr. Cannon donated the manuscript to the PPCLI Museum in 1995.
